- BACK TO CIVILIAN LIFE:

Despite the Air Force,s "generous" offer of a promotion to Major if I would volunteer for a 2nd Vietnam War tour I turned in my papers in 1972 and returned to civilian life.

NEW JERSEY AIR NATIONAL GUARD:

In 1974, while back in NJ working for AT&T near Atlantic City, that need for speed and the sound of booming afterburners grabbed hold of me again so I joined the NJANG 177th TFW, 119TH TFS based at NAFEC,Atlantic City Airport. There I flew the F-106 Delta Dart Interceptor, became command pilot, flight leader was promoted to Major and stayed until 1983.

- Cessna 172

- T-37 (a sub-sonic jet)

- T-38/F-5 (a supersonic jet)

- F-105 Thunderchief (at Okinawa)

- T-33

- F-106 Delta Dart

- Beechcraft: Duke, Queen Air, King Air, Baron, Bonanza, Sundowner

INTERESTING EVENTS IN MY LIFE:

EJECTED FROM AN F-4 PHANTOM: In March, 1969 while at Clark AFB. The  linking rod to the slab broke from metal fatigue due to accumulated G,s. So, according to AF records I always will have one more takeoff than I have landings. (Therefore, technically I am perpetually up in the air). Long story, I,ll tell you at the reunion if you ask.

IN HELICOPTER CRASH: While working as a helitack firefighter for US Forest Service in Payson, Ariz. the chopper crashed on a high mountain mission due to cracked supercharger.

HANGLIDING: Three years ago I went hang gliding at Kitty Hawk, NC. Conclusion; either the thrust to drag ratio of those things really sucks or I need to lose some more weight.

HOBBIES, INTERESTS AND PASTIMES:

- Still working as owner, broker and operator of a real estate agency, also  chairman of the township Planning Board and church finance chairman I find time to do the following when possible: Play tennis 4-5 days/week, gardening, fishing, kayaking & hiking.

BEST REGARDS. I LOOK FORWARD TO SEEING ALL OF YOU AT THE REUNION.
